New home… no tea

So, now that I’ve made the transition over to a WordPress blog hosted on my own site, I’m facing the decision about templates. I chose this one (blue and green columns) because these are two of my favorite colors, and I love lime green! However, I love the tea and cookies pictures that were on the template at my old blog, as Matt mentioned:

This place looks pretty spiffy. Though I kinda like the cookie things from the old place.

I wish I could find a tea-related theme for WordPress– I love tea. There is one with a coffee cup, aptly titled “Coffee Cup,” but I prefer 3-column templates, and it’s only a 2-column. I’ve searched, to no avail. If you happen upon such a template would you kindly let me know? Thanks!

Meanwhile, let me know your thoughts on this blue & green template. I really do like it, but I don’t know how comfy on the eyes it is for everyone else.

I like the new look! I like the template. I liked the cookies too. Actually I really liked the cookies. But change is good. And you’ve chosen some great colors. Just a note: If I’m not mistaken, it seems that the middle column (posts and comments) was blue and then changed to white when prompted to comment. I like the middle column being white much better. JMO. I look forward to reading your blogs as usual. Glad to have you back!

  2. The new template is simple and pretty. Looks professional, too! But, of course if you want a tea-themed template, I’ll even agree more since I love anything to do with coffee or tea! I’ll look for one for you and let you know. Thanks for the link, Julia. I’ve also added you to my blogroll. Let me read you on my blog. Be well.

I like the colors, I like the template, and I almost chose it for myself right before I found out you did. In other words, I like it! πŸ™‚

But didn’t I tell you this would happen? That you would start questioning your choice of a layout and have this unquenchable (word?) urge to look for new ones? And you’ll suffer more than I did, because you have a specific theme in mind!

Haha πŸ™‚ Good luck to you Julia. But for what it’s worth, I like this one πŸ™‚

No, I really like this look. I don’t know too much about wordpress so even the basic templates look all spiffy to me. I was just missing the cookies, that’s all.

    Hi Julia,

I didn’t see this post, and already commented on the site under a different post. I love it! I can’t wait to get WordPress.
